We love our bread, we love our butter,

but most of all, we love each other

We may have borrowed the line from the book, Madeline, but truer words have never been spoken about our family. Our great big family meals always begin with a basket of breads we make at home. Breakfasts aren’t complete without *real* butter – on our toast, in our eggs, and a stockpile in our refrigerators. Our love for butter runs so deep, we text each other to rave about our buttery finds (and occasionally hoard them).

Just as meals bring the family together, our love for baking binds us even closer. One of the activities we all remember as children is being in the kitchen, and learning a new recipe or baking skill from our mother and grandmother, the late Gloria Mapua Lim.

Lola Glo’s home was always filled with food, with sandwiches and snacks, not just for her 9 children and numerous grandchildren, but for the host of friends and family that still hang out there until now. The house is in our care, so we have built this bakery to sustain and support our family heritage. Our doors are open, as is our tradition, now in 2661 Taft Avenue, to serve you our delicious home recipes that have nourished our bellies and our hearts for years.

Kind words

"What made the bakeshop really charming for me is the thought that the new generations of Mapua-Lim has opened not only the gates of thier home, but also the oven of thier kitchen and their hearts to all of us to enjoy."
